A very rare sight - Black-rumped flame-back wood-pecker, in our home garden at Avissawella, Sri Lanka. It was in and out in two minutes. I took a grab-shot with my Nikon D7200. Black-rumped Flame-back Wood-pecker, Karandana, Avissawella, Sri Lanka.

A very shy bird. It was high up on a coconut tree. I used my Nikon 70-300 zoom VR on my Nikon D90. The shots were taken hand-held with VR on.
