Red-vented Bulbul - Pycnonotus cafer, looking after its young, Avissawella, Sri Lanka.
The fledgling chick with a white flesh on its beak is easy prey to the Rat snake or Coucal bird. The parents always hang around, feeding the chick and protecting it by raising an alarm when the predators are near.
