I took these pictures in Mid December 2012 on the road from Atchuvely to Thondamanaru. They were feeding in the lagoon.

On the drive from Kithulgala to Ginigathena, I saw this green bird perched on a tree with the fog obscuring a clear view. I took some rapid shots on my Nikon D90 with a 18-200 zoom at maximum zoom and camera hand held. The last picture is after editing.

Brahminy Kite, Kudagama, Avissawella, Sri Lanka.

Circling over shrubland at Kudagama where it must have spotted some newly hatched chicks, this Kite with its eery cry sends the chicks scurrying for sheler.
